Enjoy a drive along the bay of Naples to the ruins of Pompeii. Your English speaking driver will give you time for photo opportinuties along the way and entertain you with local information as you drive through the small villages en route. After your private tour of the site ,conducted by a Archeaological guide, your driver will take you to a local winery for your lunch and wine tasting

 

POMPEII

Pompeii comes to life as your guide introduces you to a day in the life of the Romans. Learn all about their daily activities, visit their houses, call in at the market, stop off at the corner food stalls and chat in the forum.

 

WINERY

Local family run wineries abound in the Vesuvio area - this extremely fertile land is home to vines hundreds of years old.Wander through the vineyards and hear all about the production and flavours of the local wines before enjoying a light lunch and enjoying the wines with the views of the Volcano towering high above you and the islands of Capri and Ischia on the horizon.

Winery lunch/tasting - including bruschetta topped with cherry tomatoes. Provolone cheese , matured locally & salami , followed by a plate of pasta. Gragnano pasta is famous from this area, as are the fresh tomatoes in the sauce ! A homemade dessert to finish and wines from the winery to accompany each course.

Timings - pick up 09.00 hrs back to the ship by 14.00hrs
